Ganjolas Story - Part Three. by *BrommaHerman:iconBrommaHerman:

On top of the Aldor rise, on one of the platforms there had been a Troll, watching out on the city below him. Not any Troll, but a happy Troll, and it took something special to make this very Troll smile. His white hair was made into a ponytail, his leather jacket was standard issue and his armor was tucked away at his room at the Aldor Inn. The Trolls name was Ganjola, and he had a special reason to be happy.

He had first taken notice of her in Elhoas hut. She was a pretty women to be sure, and the first one he tought of as a worthy second female. After all, it made sense. She was younger then Kasa, and with a different mood but she was also a priestess and like all Warriors, Ganjola was drawn to them. He did - of course - not ask her at once tought. First he had to make sure she really was a worthy female and it certainly seemed that way. Over time, he liked her even more, his love for her rivaling his love for Kasa. So when Kasa suggested her as a possible canidate they could both agree on, it was not hard for Ganjola to accept.

He had looked at her red hair from a distance. He had requested to meet her here and she had accepted. He had glanced at her. She had not noticed him, and Ganjola suddenly realised he felt nervous, just as he had when he tried to pick up Kasa some months before. She turned around and smiled at him, giving him a small wave. Well. There was nothing else to it. He went to her and sat down beside her.

"-It be good to see ya got mi message, mon" he said, not sure if he really had the courgage to do this. He could slay Demons, but not talk properly to a female? After all, all he would say would be the truth. Yes. His heart inside him had prodded him to tell her how he felt.

So he did. And things had been happy everafter.

That had been almost four months ago.

Now, after a long nights sleep at the Booty Bay Inn, with a small Yambalayan gem in his hand, it was she who had affentionally poked him on the same place her Snake Tatoo was and as thus woken him up. She had looked at him with thoose beutiful eyes of hers and smiled, as she usually did. He smiled back and rose. He was going to ask her the question he wanted to ask her ever since he found a third female. So he asked it.

"Mi have found a Mistress...an Kasa bi me Muse of Battle. So...mi was wonderin if ya would...accept the postion as Wife. Aital, will you marry me?"

It had not gone as expected She had looked into the floor and slowly walked outside the room, without saying anything. Ganjola had just sat there, dumbstruck and unable to respond. He had more or less expected this to be routine. He was sure she would be ready for it. He was sure she would have said a yes. Or at the very least a No. But her saying nothing at all was...worrying.

None of this had he mentioned when he met his third Female that night. They had been friends for some time, but it was now they started...what? Feelings for eachother? That was one way to put it and it was sure the way Ganjola felt it. But... hers was the position of Mistress since she could not be the Wife. They had to meet in secret. Anything else would be highly improper and would lead to talk - and talk was something they had to avoid. So they sneaked away to meet instead, her riding behind him on his trusted Windrider Go´el. Their time together had been glorious. Honorable. Passionate. But even there they had hit a snag. Not a small one either. And the result had sent Ganjola on a frantic ride from Tanaris that had not stopped until he reached Sen Jin. Along the way, he had paused ones, in The Crossroads making a frantic call over his Heartstone for his most trusted friends. The tabard was left behind. He felt dishonoed. And afraid.

And it was there she had showed up again. At first, he had been afraid she had overheared the story he had told his Mambo and the Blademaster. They had even shared a small laughter about the Orcs inexperience with the concept "mating for fun" and it would need many acts of appeasement to Erzulie on Malkos behaf for calling Erzulie the "Hubba Hubba" Loa. And then she had turned up. The one he wanted to be his wife. He had sincerly asked her if she truly loved him. Her seconds of silence had been answer enought, or so he tought.

"Wait!"

A single word, filling Ganjolas sundered heart with hope. And joy. At least she would be willing to talk to him...maybe even explain why she did not love him any more. But his fear was overwhelemed by her next words.

"Mi do, mon. But...mi just dont know if me can do dat if mi can be ya Wife. It be a big ting"
He looked at her, stroking her over her cheek.
"Mi would not choose you if mi think ya would not be perfect for it" he said, resting his hand on her shoulder and looking into her eyes.
She raised her gaze and met his eyes.
"M-mi jus'need ta think more about it"
"Take all da time ya want, mi love.

He had managed his first real smile on that day. They had embraced. Kissed. And they would stay together until Aital could answer. While he maybe still had to find a wife, his troubles with the Mistress was forgotten as he laid her eyes on Aitals Tatoo once more.

n Hindsigh, it had been downright foolish of him Ganjola tought. But that did not change the situation as it where. And, come and think of it, it was worth it. The stolen moments in Zangarmarch. Their walks in the Elven lands. Yes, she was worth fighing for he tought - and even meeting only in secret. She slept aside him near the shore. He smiled for himself. He sure as hell did not deserve such a wonderful female - let alone three of them. He sighed. It had not been all easy tought. Despite having talked trough things with Aital, things was still a bit stiff between them unless she felt lonely and that was far less often then he would like.

It had been before even that trouble began that duinrg a walk in Zangarmarch that he had run into her and they have started talking. They where friends after all and what kind of friend was you if you did not stop and talk to them when you saw them? He had suggested that they sit down and talk somewhere, and she had agreed, riding behind him on Go´el, his trusted Wyern. Settling at the peaks above the forest, their lips have found eachother, but she had left him there, brushing it away as a mistake, only to return later the same night. As so far, their secret was safe. Their love was never in the open, and her male - an Orc - was oblivious to the entire thing. And as it should be. The only one who he had entrusted was the one who was like a sister to him, Malko. He had told her that he had almost furfilled his commitment, and wondered what was next. And he had been told he needed to choose. Not a choice that would deny somebody anything, just choose what role they would have in his life.

The Wife. The Mistress. The Muse. The last one was easy enought. Not beeing present, away cleaning her soul from Kalfus evil, Kasas fate was a constant reminder in his heart and as thus, she was the muse. The reminder of what happens when you play with powers beyond your control. But who would be the Wife? Aital was a worthy female, but young and somewhat insecure, qualities that made her more a mistress then a Wife. But the choice was made for him. One night, he had asked his third one if she would accept the position of Wife, in secret and with only a few knowing about it. But it was not the way things was meant to be. Her fate too was bound to Erzulie but in a different way. She had sacroficed her most loved ones, in order to save her Husband, the Orc and only Erzulie had granted her wish at the price of her bearing the same curse as Erzulie did as a mortal. However, she did not see any problem in accepting the role as Mistress for him and it was so things turned out.

It did make things easier for Ganjola tought. Aital would be the wife, and a worthy one at that. When he met her next time, he had proposed to her as her Wife. Not even that had went as planned he tought, but Aital was young and a Marrige was a large thing. It was only natural she needed to think. He hoped she would come around. He did not want to loose her and finding another female would be difficult for him. He already had the best, most beuitiful and honorable females in all the Horde. How could he find a fourth without looking down on her, thinking her inferior? And that had been the reason for the argument with his Mistress in Tanaris.

She had wanted him to pick three females out of a crowd and just take them to please Erzulie. Ganjola was offended at her words. How could strangers who would stay home and cook and clean compare to honorable females who fought at his side, and at the side of others? The row had lasted well into the night ending with something that was not of Erzulie, and certainly not of himself. The result was a frantic ride to Sen Jin Village where loyal friends - and a loyal female awaited him. It had helped him relax that night, forget his troublesome Mistress and his own errors.

Next letter he sent to her did not wear the usual seal. He was not worthy of carrying it, not until he had redeemed himself. An answer came quickly enought. It was the answer of a priest, not one of a Female. It had been her choice she had said. A Sacrofice on her part to make his promise to Erzulie complete. Ganjola was unsure if something so devoid of passion could be of Erzulie and had asked his mambo, who had agreed, advising him to be careful..

The next letter from her had informed her that she was away, fighing in the mountains. Again, his heart filled with pride over that his Mistress was brave and honorable. And when a letter of aknowledgement came that she was alive and waited for him, he picked up his Axe and Shield, mounted his raptor and raced of to the shore.

Indeed, she was waiting for him. But it was not his Mistress. It was the only one he cared about since Kasa had been spirited away by Kalfu.

Aital. His wife.

The wind blew his hair, and even the air was chill. As thus, he held her closer. She leaned into him, as she used to do, before all the insecurity had happened. The took it as a good sign. Nagrand was a temperate place, but even during the nights, it was chill. He kissed her bare neck, and inhaled the wonderful smell of her hair. It almost drove him crazy with passion for the female, but he restrained himself. Erzulie would grant him more time with this female but not now.

Right now, he would savour the moment.

The moment in question lasted trough the night, if not the morning. She was simply gone, and he had no idea on where she he was, nor did he any effort to find out. While it put a icy clump in his heart by doing so, he also knew that his female was honorable, and fully able to take care of her self - or at least so he hoped. He wondered if she fully grasped the dangers of the evil spirits she was dealing with. He had tried to warn her and only hoped she actually had listened.

Several days past and she saw no sign of her until he by purely accident ran into her in a remote area in Durotar. He had been out on a stroll, looking for herbs, enjoying the leave from his duties when they had spotted eachother. It had been a joyous encounter, without any flustering, shyness or any other un-Trolly things. They had embraced, and sat down.

In a whisper, she told him everything he wanted to hear, in a single word.

"Yes"

He had only smiled sheepishly at it. He could not be happier. And this he told her.

"Mi can find a way to make ya dat..."

She grinned. And as always, Aital was right.
